Nora is in the final months of a dual masters degree program in Social Work and Public Health at UNC-Chapel Hill. While she is originally from Durham North Carolina, Nora received her undergraduate degrees in Women Gender and Sexuality Studies and Spanish at Goucher College in Baltimore. Professionally, Nora has several years of experience working with women and adolescents around issues of health and mental health. Her clinical experiences working with foster youth, teaching parenting skills, and doing bilingual case management with undocumented families inspired her to confront systemic health disparities through policy work. As a macro social worker, Nora believes in building systemic change through policy and advocacy efforts crafted and sustained by community members. Her research experience centers on issues of reproductive justice including obstetric violence/racism, pregnancy discrimination, and abortion access. Nora is delighted to join the NARAL pro-choice MD team and be back in Baltimore advocating for reproductive freedom!
