Rebecca is a recent graduate of Cornell University where she earned a B.A. in psychology and minors in human development, Spanish, and English with a concentration in feminist, gender, and sexuality studies. She cares deeply about mental health and long considered pursuing a career in clinical psychology. This past summer, Rebecca had the privilege of attending the Summer Institute on Sexuality, Culture and Society at the University of Amsterdam. The experience enlightened her to the intertwined nature of psychology, human sexuality, identity and body politics, and domestic and international policy and law. It further strengthened her commitment to social justice and inspired her to devote her time and effort to advocacy. Rebecca serves as the Research Intern with the Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE) in Washington, D.C. addressing international sexual and reproductive health and rights issues. She is honored to be with NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland, dealing with these concerns in the state in which she currently resides. Rebecca is passionate about countering systemic inequity and working for social progress. She hopes to ultimately go to law school and work domestically in human rights.
