Tara is a rising Senior at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore City. She is a double major in Economics and English with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies. In her conservative hometown of Grand Haven, MI, Tara started the Feminist Club at her high school to fundraise for local shelters for sex trafficking victims. Currently on campus, Tara is a writer and head editor of The Rival, a satirical and opinionated newspaper that challenges political and social apathy. Academically, Tara furthered her passion of gender equality within literary research as a team member on the Aperio Project. A group who uncovered, researched, edited, and published an anthology of writings and biographies of the members of the Women’s Literary Club of Baltimore (1890-1941). Down the road, Tara hopes to go to law school and become a prosecutor in criminal law.
